Faye and George Greiner Catawba pottery pitcher, 9” tall, 10” deep from spout to handle, 8” wide - Faye and George Greiner Catawba pottery pitcher The Catawba are a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans, known as the Catawba Indian Nation. This is a beautiful example of pottery made for utilitarian use. Their current lands are in South Carolina, on the Catawba River, near the city of Rock Hill. The pot was fired traditionally as evidenced by the fire clouds throughout. It is polished both inside and outside and signed by the artist on the bottom along with the date.
