4 Vintage German Relief Beer Steins - C-19159 Group of four relief-molded beer steins featuring traditional Bavarian and Alpine scenes, rendered in high-relief with hand-painted accents. Motifs include a seated courting couple in rustic dress, an Alpine chalet medallion framed by edelweiss, a wooded pastoral vignette with German inscription reading “Auf den Bergen wohnt die Freude, ” and a hunting scene with stag set against a cobalt ground. One example retains its original hinged pewter lid with thumb lift and domed finial; the others are open-top forms. Light surface wear throughout; minor glaze variations and small scuffs consistent with age. Pewter lid shows light tarnish; hinge functions properly. No major structural cracks observed.
