Pair of Black Powder Horns with Leather Straps - C-20775 Pair of curved black powder horns formed from polished animal horn, each retaining wooden end caps, turned spouts, and leather suspension straps. One example retains a darker horn body with fitted wooden stopper assembly, while the other shows a lighter translucent horn tone with brass tack-mounted cap construction. Traditional curved forms reflect continued sporting and hunting use into the early 20th century. Shows scattered surface scratches, finish wear, age-related drying to leather straps, and general wear consistent with use and age.
