Early 20th C. No. 1.5 New Standard Table Chopper - C-20969 Small cast iron table-mounted meat grinder marked “Mourt Joy Mfg. Co.” with “Pat’s Pend.” and on the reverse ”No. 1 1/2 New Standard Chopper” cast into the body. The grinder features a clamp-on mounting system, cylindrical grinding chamber, and hinged side-opening body for loading and cleaning. Its compact form suggests domestic kitchen use, likely intended for small-scale grinding of meats or similar food preparation tasks. Retains an early utilitarian design with exposed hinge pins, thumb screw clamp, and cast lettering throughout. Early 20th century. Surface wear, oxidation, and scattered finish loss present throughout from age and use. Grinding handle and hinged chamber mechanisms move by hand. Internal grinding components appear incomplete.
