Lot of Oil Advertising Containers - C-20953 Mobil Oil Corp. and Pennzoil Lot including a Mobil Velocite Oil five-gallon metal lubricant pail and a small Pennzoil S.A.E. 30 motor oil pour can. The Mobil container retains stenciled “Velocite Oil 6” lettering and large Mobil branding to the reverse, while the Pennzoil example features black and yellow painted finish with applied logo decal and angled pouring spout. Both pieces reflect the utilitarian service station and industrial garage aesthetic associated with petroleum advertising and automotive maintenance equipment of the period. Surface wear, scratches, oxidation, paint loss, and staining throughout consistent with age and use. Mobil pail retains handle and lid rim wear. Pennzoil can shows finish wear and residue from use.
