Lot of Illinois License Plates - C-20957 c. 1950s-1970s; State of Illinois Lot of vintage Illinois “Land of Lincoln” automobile license plates in assorted colors and years including examples from 1953, 1954, 1962, 1967, 1969, and 1970. Several plates retain period embossed finishes and original paint coloration ranging from orange and cream to green and yellow. Included are matched duplicate pairs identified by blue ties, along with several single plates. A strong grouping for automotive memorabilia, garage display, or vintage Americana collections. Surface wear, oxidation, scratches, bends, paint loss, and weathering throughout consistent with age and outdoor use. Some plates exhibit heavier corrosion and discoloration. Duplicate pairs are secured together with blue ties as shown.
