Official Mint Series, 1989 11 Years of the State of Israel In honor of the 41st Independence Day of the country, a special series was issued. The series consists of the coins in circulation. The coins are minted on tokens of special thickness (” double thickness” PIEFORT ) and of a heavier weight than usual. Each coin has a mint mark - a small Star of David, the year of minting - 1989 and the state emblem.
