This image shows a portrait of the famous French Romantic composer Hector Berlioz (1803–1869). The Portrait The central image is based on a photograph of Berlioz taken during his second visit to Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1867. This was the final concert tour of his career, conducted at the invitation of Grand-Duchess Elena Pavlovna.
