Home Blessing State Medal, 1994 A common custom is to hang the Home Blessing on the wall of the entrance to the house – a sigil for preserving the peace of the house and its inhabitants and bestowing a blessing upon them. The blessing is engraved in the mold, and its design expresses the aspiration of every person to live in peace, security and well-being within their home Obverse of the medal: The Home Blessing is embedded in a frame in the shape of a house – ”In this place may there be blessing and peace”. Inside the frame are two doves of peace and a pair of palms. Around the frame are stylized decorations of fruits of the seven species: grapevine, fig and pomegranate.
