A Large Giltwood and Gesso Rectangular Wall Mirror - A large rectangular wall mirror featuring a bevelled glass plate. The substantial frame is constructed from wood and gesso with a multi-stepped moulding. It is finished with traditional water-gilding, showing an aged patina with the red bole ground visible beneath the gold in several areas, particularly along the outer edges and high points of the moulding. The mirror glass contains surface scratches. 113.5 x 88cm.
