The camera body is constructed from black composite plastic with rubberised grips and features an APS-C sensor. The top plate includes a mode dial with various manual and scene settings, alongside a function dial for ISO, White Balance (WB), and Dynamic Range (D-R) adjustments. The rear of the body houses a 2.5-inch LCD screen, an optical viewfinder, and control buttons including Menu, Super SteadyShot toggle, and a multi-selector. The camera is fitted with a Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Macro zoom lens with a 55mm filter thread and a minimum focus distance of 0.38 metres (1.3 feet).
