A Collection of Vintage Glass Marbles in a Decorative Lacquered Oriental Style Box - An assortment of vintage glass marbles presented in a rectangular wooden box with an oriental style lacquered finish. The collection includes a variety of glass marble types in multiple sizes, including cat's eyes with multi-coloured internal swirls in yellow, red, blue, and green, as well as transparent clearies and opaque swirl designs. Several larger shooter marbles are also present within the lot. The wooden box features a black lacquered exterior with a central diamond-shaped panel on the lid depicting a hand-painted oriental scene. This scene includes figures on a bridge, a pagoda-style building, and stylised water and trees with gold-tone highlights. The four corners of the lid are decorated in a dark red lacquer with gold quatrefoil floral motifs. The interior of the box is unlined wood, and the lid is attached by two brass-toned metal hinges.
