Machzor For The Entire Year – Set In Two Volumes, Sulzbach 1719. With Approbation of R. Naftali Katz Author of Semichas Chachamim - A large and impressive set of Machzorim for the entire year, complete in two volumes, printed in Sulzbach 1719. With striking woodcut-illustrated title pages, depicting various scenes, flanked by Moshe and Aaron around the woodcut frame. With the Hadras Kodesh commentary throughout most of the Machzor. Printed with the approbation of R. Naftali Katz, author of Semichas Chachamim, dated 1708. Both volumes are in overall good condition, with minor old paper repairs to some pages, as detailed below. A small handwritten card on parchment which states “Shivisi Hashem L’negdi Tamid…” is found inside volume II.  Volume I: Tefillos for Shabbos and Yom Tov (Pesach and Shavuos), Purim, Tisha B’av, Kinos, Selichos, and Yotzros.  Page count: 41, [9], 253, 12 pp. Overall good condition, small hole on title page affecting text on verso, minor old repairs to pp. 108-109, covering text. Otherwise in good condition.  As is common in many Machzorim from this period, wax stains can be seen on the pages which contain Eichah and Kinnos (pp. 218-220).   Volume II: Tefillos for Shabbos and Yom Tov, starting from Elul until after Simchas Torah (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos, Simchas Torah).  Page count: [1], 35; 38-39; 150, [8], 157-305 pp. In overall good condition, pp. 146-148 detached with minor tears, not affecting text. Old repairs seen on pp. 202-203, with minor loss to text. Otherwise the volume is in very good condition.  Both volumes are bound in matching late 18th or early 19th bindings, with red edges. Various inscriptions seen on title page of Volume I; multiple inscriptions also on flyleaves of volume II.  31cm.
