Rare: Sefer Rabbos – Midrash Rabbah, Venice 1603 - An extremely rare edition of Midrash Rabbah, printed in Venice, 1603. Daniel Zanetti Press. With Midrash on The Five Megillos, with a separate title page, featuring its own unique woodcut architectural design.  Sefer Midrashim from this era are very rare, as they were printed with very thin paper; often well used and barely survived intact. As such, no complete copy of this edition exists in the National Library of Israel. To the best of our knowledge, only one complete copy exists in Libraries worldwide, currently held at The Bodleian Library at Oxford, in the collection of R. David Oppenheim. In overall good-moderate condition. The book has undergone professional restoration, with some areas completed in professional facsimile; tears to some leaves with loss of text. Title page has likewise undergone restoration, backed with paper for support.  Bound in a fine half-leather binding. [1], 209; [1], 81 pp.   Page size: 29cm
