Sefer Asarah Ma’amaros – R. Menachem Azariah of Fano, Amsterdam 1649 - Sefer Asarah Ma’amaros is perhaps the best known work of R. Menachem Azariah of Fano (1548-1620), a leading Mekubal who lived in Italy during the 16th and 17th centuries. Based largely on the Kabbalistic teachings of the Arizal, Asarah Ma’amaros is divided into ten expositions, each addressing various Kabbalistic concepts such as Gilgulim and the concept of Tzimtzum. This work has been immensely popular since its publication, and is quoted by many Acharonim such as the Magen Avraham and others. First edition with the Yoel Moshe commentary, authored by R. Moshe of Frankfurt. Printed with the approbation of the leading Torah scholars of the era. Printed at the printing house of Emmanuel Benivineste, with the approbation of R. Menashe ben Yisroel of Amsterdam(!). In overall good condition, ex-library stamps on title. Bound in a contemporary vellum binding, with title on spine.
