Sefer Amudei Golah – Semak, Krakow 1596. Rare Edition - A rare edition of Sefer Amudei Golah - Sefer Mitzvos Katan, written by R. Yitzchak of Corbiel, one of the 13th century Tosafists. The work's official title is Amudei Golah, and is written in the form of a poem. It is divided into 7 ”pillars”, each corresponding the seven days of the week. In his introduction he asks of ”every man to read one pillar each day”. It includes Halacha along with Aggadic and Mussar sources.  This is the first edition of the Semak to include the Hagahos of the Rema on the page, in places where he argues with the Beis Yosef.  An important ownership inscription — “Meir MaHaram b. Gedaliah Marana from the family of MaHaram MiRutenburg” seen on title page. We have not identified the owner, however further research should be conducted.  On pp. 1 is a signature from the period of the printing, which reads in part: ״קנין כספי במה שחנני אלוקים בעד שתי זהובי׳ נאם יואל בן לא״א כמהור״ר...״ .  In overall good condition. Title page restored at lower left corner, not affecting text. Trimmed margins, affecting final line of text on pp. 29. With final rare leaf, lacking in some copies. Some light worming seen on some leaves. Bound in an ornate leather binding.  [8], 156, [4] pp. Page size: 18cm
