Tur Even Haezer, Vilna 1900. Personal Copy of R. Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar and R. Moshe Aryeh Freund - Tur Even Haezer (both parts), Vilna 1900. Copy of The Satmar Rav – R. Yoel Teitelbaum, with his personal stamps, while serving as the Rav of Orshava, where he served in his younger years, from 1911 until 1925.  The stamp reads: “JOEL TEITELBAUM OBERRABBINER IRSAVA U. BEZIRK”, and appears twice on the flyleaf. In addition, are the stamps of his close disciple and confidant, R. Moshe Aryeh Freund, while serving as the Rav of Satmar, seen on the flyleaf and title page. Also seen are the stamps of “Moshe Yaakov Lowy – Satmar”.  Interestingly, the Yoreh De’ah volume of this set (which likewise belonged to the Rebbe), sold at auction in 2016 (see: Winner’s Auctions, Auction 94, lot 242), however, unlike the current volume, that one did not belong to R. Moshe Aryeh Freund. It is therefore likely that the Rebbe personally gifted this volume to R. Moshe Aryeh Freund; hence only this volume bears his stamps together with the Rebbe’s.  R. Moshe Aryeh Freund (1903–1996), Av Beis Din of the Eidah HaChareidis in Jerusalem from 1979 until his death. He was born in Bonyhad, Hungary, to R. Yisroel Freund, the local Av Beis Din, and grandson of the Admor of Nasod, R. Yehoshua Freund. Prior to the outbreak of WWII, he served as Rosh Yeshiva and Av Beis Bin in Satmar, Romania. He was the sole survivor of his family, as his wife and nine children were murdered by the Nazis. Rebuilding his life after the war, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1951, leading the Satmar community in Jerusalem and authoring the seminal halachic work Ateres Yehoshua, by which he was affectionately known. Renowned for his piety, zealotry, and unyielding commitment to traditional Judaism, he influenced generations of students and was succeeded by R. Yisroel Moshe Dushinsky and R. Yaakov Fisher upon his passing at age 92. In overall good condition, with minimal signs of wear. Original binding; with damage and wear.  [3], 177; [3], 125, [1] pp.
