Made by H. L. Judd Mfg. Company. Wallingford, Connecticut - Early 1880's. From the Collection of Al & Nora Hancock. Here we find a sensitive depiction of a maimed Civil War veteran asking you to make a donation to aid with his reduced circumstances. Historic Side Note - In 1882, the J. & E. Stevens Company successfully won a lawsuit against Judd Mfg. for patent infringement on the design of their Tammany Bank. Judd was required to pay $2200 in damages.
