A vintage silver-toned oval brooch with a thermochromic cabochon - This oval costume jewellery brooch features a central large oval cabochon set within an openwork scalloped frame. The cabochon is translucent and displays a colour gradient shifting from purple at the centre to teal-blue at the perimeter, consistent with a thermochromic mood stone or colour-treated glass. The frame is constructed from silver-toned metal with a textured, beaded edge. The reverse shows the adhesive backing for the cabochon and a horizontal pin mechanism with a roll-over safety catch.
