L. Haskins, Cafe Apres-Midi, Impressionist Style Café Scene - A Very Large contemporary Impressionist style work by L. Haskins titled Cafe Apres-Midi, executed in oil or acrylic on canvas. The composition depicts a lively outdoor café scene with numerous figures seated at tables under white umbrellas and a red awning. The scene includes waiters in traditional black and white attire and a pair of musicians playing in the mid-ground, all set beneath a canopy of sun-dappled trees. The brushwork is broad and expressive, using dabs of high-contrast colour to represent the play of light and shadow across the pavement and figures. A small card on one of the foreground tables is inscribed with the word RESERVÉ. The work is signed l. haskins in lowercase characters in the lower right margin.
