Morris Eight Winged Car Emblem with Red Faceted Insert - A 1930s Morris Eight winged car emblem of the type typically mounted on the radiator grille or boot lid. The badge is constructed from chrome-plated metal and features an Art Deco inspired design with two swept-back wings. The central circular boss contains a faceted translucent red insert. The upper wing displays the word MORRIS in silver-tone relief against a black enamel background, while the lower wing displays EIGHT in the same style. The reverse of the badge features the word MORRIS cast in reverse relief. This style of badge is associated with the Morris Eight Series I and II produced by Morris Motors Limited between 1934 and 1948. Dimensions: Approximately 10-12cm in length.
