Late 19th or Early 20th-Century Rococo Revival Cast Metal Easel-Back Picture Frame - A tabletop picture frame in the Rococo Revival style, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The frame is constructed from cast metal, likely brass or bronze, with a heavy, dark-toned aged patina. The ornate design features pierced ajouré openwork incorporating scrolling acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, and floral motifs. A small relief-cast cherub head is integrated into the scrollwork at the upper left shoulder. The central oval aperture contains a glass panel and a wooden backing board secured by metal tabs. The reverse features an integral, long cast metal easel stand with decorative piercings and a scrolled foot. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the casting.
