The machine is constructed from die-cast metal with a deep maroon enamelled finish. It features a chrome-finished handwheel with a white handle and a detachable metal extension plate in a matching maroon finish. The arm of the machine is marked with the Vulcan logo and MADE IN ENGLAND, while the base carries the model name Senior in gold-toned script. The machine is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box, which displays period graphics of young girls and the slogan she sews as she grows... with a Vulcan.
