The collection is constructed from polished silver-tone metal, such as nickel silver or chrome-plated brass, with several pieces featuring black composite handles. The set includes a wide variety of compasses, dividers, ruling pens, extension bars, and specialised attachments. Of particular note is a precision ruling pen in the red-lined case featuring a calibrated adjustment dial numbered 0-9. The interior of the black velvet-lined lid bears the gold-stamped script mark Rugli. The red velvet-lined tray is gold-stamped with a stylised monogram consisting of the intertwined letters R and P.
