The box is reinforced with dark metal strapping, protective corner brackets, and dome-headed rivets. It is fitted with a central metal hasp for a padlock and a wrought metal swing handle on the lid. The chest stands on four integrated block feet. The wood exhibits a rich, aged patina throughout. Length: approximately 23 cm.
