UK Royal Academy of Music Bronze Award Medal, John Pinches, 1927 - A bronze award medal issued by the Royal Academy of Music, dated 1927, produced by John Pinches, London. The obverse features a classical profile portrait within a beaded border. The reverse bears the circular legend ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC at the top and INSTITUTED 1822 at the base. Centrally, within a laurel wreath, the medal is hand-inscribed DOROTHEA PRICE / PIANOFORTE / 1927. The piece is fitted with a swivel ring suspension and retains a deep brown patina. It is housed in its original red leatherette presentation case, featuring a blue velvet-lined base and a white satin lid lining marked with a diamond-shaped logo for JOHN PINCHES LONDON.
