A Victorian Bronze Desktop Inkwell with Ceramic Liner - A late 19th-centuryBronze desktop inkwell of compressed globular form featuring a wide flared flange. The piece is supported by three spherical ball feet. A domed, hinged lid opens to reveal a removable white ceramic or porcelain ink liner seated within the central well. The exterior of the lid features a central circular brass-lined aperture. The underside of the inkwell shows a single central screw-head. There are no visible maker's marks or inscriptions on the piece.
