Specific architectural details on the steps and surrounding buildings are highlighted with parcel-gilt or yellow-lacquered finishes. The piece is mounted within a simple, dark-stained wooden frame featuring a metal hanging loop at the top. The silver bears several hallmarks within a small cartouche at the lower left: an oval containing 925 denoting sterling silver fineness, a square R indicating the riempito (filled) manufacturing process, and a rectangular provincial registration mark for Arezzo (AR).
