A Collection of Hand-Painted Russian Matryoshka Nesting Dolls - A collection of hand-painted and lacquered wooden nesting dolls, known as matryoshka. The lot comprises two distinct sets executed in traditional Russian folk art styles. The first set features a black ground decorated with architectural scenes including churches with onion domes and figures in folk costume, accented with metallic gold-toned paint and glitter. The second set displays a red and blue colour palette with pink rose floral patterns and faces characterised by blue eyes and freckles. Both sets are finished with a high-gloss protective lacquer. No maker's marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the exterior or bases of the items. Largest dolls height: Approximately 13 cm to 16 cm.
