A Collection of Decorative Metalware including South Asian Bronze Figurines and a Castle Lager Commemorative Copper Tray - An assortment of decorative metalware items including cast bronze figurines, a mixed-media animal sculpture, and a commemorative copper tray. The collection includes a circular hand-hammered copper tray or ashtray featuring four notches to the rim. The rim is decorated with embossed figures of African wildlife, including a lion, rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, and zebra. At the centre is an applied silver-toned metal medallion featuring the heraldic crest and name for Castle Lager. Accompanying this is a cast bronze figurine in the South Asian style depicting a mahout or deity seated upon the neck of an elephant. The elephant is adorned with an ornate, patterned caparison or saddlecloth. A second cast bronze figurine depicts a standing deity or Bodhisattva in the South Asian style, possibly Nepalese or Tibetan. The figure stands in a graceful pose upon a circular lotus-petal base, wearing an elaborate crown and jewellery. One hand is held in the varada mudra (boon-granting gesture), and a stylized floral element is positioned behind the left shoulder. The lot also features a decorative animal sculpture from the late 20th century, comprising two polished brass or bronze dolphins leaping from a stylized wave-form base. The base is finished with a green verdigris patina and is mounted upon a circular polished green marble or serpentine plinth.
