Two Vintage English Black Wool Felt Formal Hats, Comprising a Bowler and a Top Hat - This lot comprises two mid-20th century black woollen felt formal hats manufactured for the English market. The first item is a classic bowler hat with a rounded crown and a curved, bound-edge brim, adorned with a matching black grosgrain ribbon band and bow. The interior is lined with orange satin fabric featuring a gold-stamped crest consisting of a crown above a circular emblem. The tan leather sweatband is stamped in gold with the text Real Leather and English Made. The second item is a formal top hat with a flat crown and curled brim, also finished with a black grosgrain ribbon. The interior contains a pink satin lining with a printed Major Wear label depicting two lions rampant flanking a yellow shield with a top hat icon. The label specifies 100% WOOL HAND MADE and MADE FOR ENGLAND. Both hats feature internal sweatbands.
