A Trio of Vintage British Plastic Recorders by Dolmetsch and Schott - This lot comprises three vintage recorders of various sizes, all manufactured in England from dark brown resin. The first instrument is a Dolmetsch tenor recorder, stamped on the head joint with a heart-shaped logo and the text DOLMETSCH TENOR BS.4499 MADE IN ENGLAND and DOLONITE RECORDER PART 2A. It is fitted with brass-coloured metal keys at the foot joint. The BS.4499 mark denotes the British Standard for recorders from 1969 onwards. The second instrument is a Dolmetsch treble recorder, stamped MADE IN ENGLAND DOLMETSCH TREBLE RECORDER PATENT APPLIED FOR. The third is a Schott descant recorder in C, stamped SCHOTT'S C DESCANT MADE IN ENGLAND REGd DESIGN. All three instruments are of three-piece construction, consisting of a head joint, middle joint, and foot joint.
