A Mid-20th Century Chinese Clockwork Lithographed Tinplate Motorcycle and Sidecar - This vintage tinplate toy comprises a motorcycle and sidecar featuring brightly coloured lithographed decoration in a primary palette of blue, yellow, red, and white. The motorcycle is piloted by a rider figure wearing a yellow jacket and a white helmet with red and blue goggle detailing. The sidecar carries a smaller passenger wearing a blue helmet. The fuel tank on both sides bears a red rectangular mark with a top line of four characters in Chinese script and a bottom line reading MADE IN CHINA. The toy is powered by an integrated clockwork winding mechanism operated by a fixed metal key located on the right-hand side. It is equipped with an auxiliary small black wheel attached to the side of the rear wheel for balance and propulsion.
