Late 19th Century French Brass Carriage Timepiece with Original Travelling Case - A late 19th-century French carriage timepiece of standard Obis form. The brass case is fitted with five bevelled glass panels and a hinged rectangular carrying handle. The white enamel dial features black Roman numeral hour markers and a simple outer minute track, with blued steel spade hands. The mechanical key-wound movement features a platform cylinder escapement visible through the top glass aperture. The backplate is marked PARIS to the lower edge and features a regulator scale marked S and F for slow and fast. The clock is accompanied by its original textured brown leather travelling case, featuring a diamond-patterned grain and a maroon velvet-lined interior. A double-ended brass winding and setting key is included.
