Three Vintage J. Hudson and Co. Nickel-Plated Brass Whistles Including The Metropolitan and The Acme City Models - A trio of vintage whistles manufactured by J. Hudson and Co. of Birmingham, England. The central whistle is The Metropolitan model, featuring a cylindrical barrel stamped with THE METROPOLITAN J. HUDSON & CO BARR ST. HOCKLEY BIRMINGHAM. It is fitted with a steel multi-link suspension chain. Flanking the central piece are two The Acme City whistles. One is stamped THE ACME CITY WHISTLE MADE IN ENGLAND, and the other is marked THE ACME CITY MADE IN ENGLAND. Each whistle is constructed from nickel-plated brass with a traditional mouth-blown design, featuring a tapered mouthpiece and a top-mounted suspension ring. These models were historically utilised for police, military, and general service purposes.
