The item is designed as a miniature sword, featuring a handle constructed from a section of genuine multi-strand braided steel wire cable, a thematic choice reflecting the company's industrial focus. The handle is fitted with a polished metal pommel and collar. The crossguard terminates in ridged, barrel-shaped finials and is set with a central red enamelled triangular medallion displaying the letters S F E around a stylised cable reel logo. The polished steel blade is single-edged and bears the stamped inscription FRANCO ESPAÑOLA DE, ALAMBRES Y CABLES, BILBAO near the hilt.
