Two Antique Technical Instruments comprising a Short's Gas Leak Indicator and a Pocket Voltmeter - This lot features two early 20th-century technical instruments. The first is a Short's Gas Leak Indicator, manufactured by Hattersley & Davidson Ltd of Sheffield. The instrument is constructed with a cylindrical brass body and a glass-covered dial. The dial is printed with a scale from 0 to 90 and bears the inscriptions SHORT'S GAS LEAK INDICATOR and HATTERSLEY & DAVIDSON LTD SHEFFIELD. The base of the unit contains four circular apertures revealing a white porous material. It is accompanied by a fitted cylindrical leather carrying case with a green felt-lined interior and a buckled strap. The second instrument is a pocket-watch style voltmeter. The dial is graduated from 0 to 6 volts and features the brand name Auto in script and the term DEPOSE. The metal case includes a suspension loop at the top.
