A Chinese Bronze Censer with Apocryphal Xuande Mark - A small Chinese bronze incense burner (censer) of compressed globular bombe form, cast from a copper alloy. The vessel features a slightly flared rim and is flanked by two upright, stylized loop gui handles. The exterior is finished with a smooth, warm chestnut-brown patina showing some tonal variation from handling. The interior displays signs of historical use with residue and minor green verdigris oxidation. The underside of the base features a recessed square seal mark containing two incised characters reading Xuande (宣德). This is an apocryphal mark referencing the Ming Dynasty Xuande Emperor (r. 1426-1435), indicating the piece was likely produced in the late 19th to early 20th century in the Ming style.
