A Vintage Dodo Designs Porcelain Enamel Novelty House Rules Wall Plaque - This is a vintage hand-printed porcelain enamel novelty wall plaque, manufactured by Dodo Designs (Mfrs) Ltd in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The plaque is titled THE RULES OF THIS HOUSE - PLEASURES & PASTIMES and displays a satirical list of prohibited guest behaviours including Swing from the Chandeliers, Lay hands on the Female Staff without Warning, and Assault the Musicians. The graphic design features a neoclassical pediment and columns in black line work with red and yellow accents on a white ground. The sign is constructed from metal with a hand-printed porcelain enamel finish and features scalloped top and bottom edges with mounting holes. The reverse is coated in black enamel with white printed text and a manufacturer logo.
