A Collection of Vintage Electrical and Industrial Measuring Instruments including Weston, Lucas, and Short’s - A collection of vintage electrical and industrial measuring instruments, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century. The assembly includes a Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Model 443 DC voltmeter, manufactured in Newark, New Jersey, for Pritchett and Gold and E.P.S. Co. Ltd. This instrument features a black circular housing, a single pointed metal probe, and a dial calibrated from 0 to 3 volts, accompanied by its original stitched brown leather carrying case with a buckled strap. Also featured is a Short’s Gas Leak Indicator by Hattersley and Davidson Ltd of Sheffield, comprising a heavy cylindrical brass body with a top-mounted dial calibrated from 0 to 90. The lot includes two centre-zero ammeters: one manufactured by Joseph Lucas Ltd of Birmingham with a chrome-plated bezel and a -30 to +30 ampere scale, and a second similar AC ammeter. Additionally, there is a Cluto pocket-style voltmeter housed in a brass case with a 6-volt scale and a suspension ring. Completing the collection is an imperial micrometer gauge with a textured frame, presented in its original black textured case with a purple velvet-lined interior and an original paper inspection slip.
