A Pair of Vintage British Military Type Mk VIII Flying Goggles - A pair of vintage goggles designed in the Mk VIII (Mark 8) pattern, a style synonymous with Royal Air Force aviation during the mid-20th century and subsequently adopted by motorcycling enthusiasts. The goggles feature grey-blue painted metal frames with a distinctive split-lens configuration. These frames are mounted onto a protective padded base consisting of a brown leather exterior and a chamois leather interior lining. The assembly is held in place by an adjustable tan elasticated fabric strap with metal sliding buckles. Stamped characters are visible on the upper edges of the lens frames, with the left frame marked LFL and the right frame marked 101.
