A Vintage Wilkinson Sword Co. Empire 7-Day Safety Razor Set - A mid-20th-century gentleman's shaving set manufactured by the Wilkinson Sword Co., London. This Empire model 7-day set consists of a plated safety razor handle and a full set of seven hollow-ground wedge blades. The interior lid features a gold-printed mark consisting of a royal crest above the text: BY APPOINTMENT TO THE LATE KING GEORGE V. WILKINSON SWORD CO MADE IN ENGLAND. This specific royal warrant indicates manufacture after 1936. A small black price tag is present on the right side of the interior, marked 21/-. The set is housed in a rectangular, nickel or chrome-plated metal case. The lid features engine-turned Art Deco geometric patterns with a central blank cartouche for engraving. The base of the case has a textured dimple pattern. The interior is lined in royal blue silk and velvet. The seven blades are held in a metal rack, with each blade individually engraved with a day of the week: MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, and SUN. Case length: 11.5 cm.
