Two Maritime-Style Brass Weather Instruments including a Cavendish Wall Station and a Nauticalia Porthole Barometer - This lot comprises two contemporary weather instruments designed in a traditional maritime style. The first is a twin-dial wall-mounted weather station consisting of an aneroid barometer and a clock. The barometer dial is inscribed Cavendish and includes weather indications for Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair, and Very Dry, with pressure scales in both millibars and inches. The clock features a silvered dial with black Roman numerals and baton hour markers, with black hands and a red sweep second hand. Both units are set into circular brass-effect cases and mounted on a rectangular mahogany-stained wooden plaque with decorative brass corner brackets. The second item is a large Saloon aneroid barometer by Nauticalia. It is constructed with a heavy polished brass porthole-style case, featuring a hinged front bezel secured by two screw-down latches. The cream dial indicates weather conditions and pressure in millibars (940 to 1060) and inches (28 to 31). The central aneroid mechanism is visible through a circular aperture in the dial.
