A Nicolls Crusader Miniature Cricket Bat Commemorating the 1954/5 M.C.C. Australian Tour - A vintage wooden miniature souvenir cricket bat manufactured by Nicolls of Robertsbridge and Bushby. The blade features printed branding for the Crusader model and notes the firm was established in 1876. The bat is a commemorative piece for the M.C.C. (Marylebone Cricket Club) tour of Australia in 1954/5. The face of the bat displays a series of facsimile signatures from the touring squad members. Legible signatures include Captain Len Hutton, Denis Compton, Peter May, Brian Statham, Bill Edrich, Tom Graveney, Alec Bedser, Reg Simpson, Peter Loader, Vic Wilson, Johnny Wardle, Godfrey Evans, Jim Laker, Trevor Bailey, Frank Tyson, Bob Appleyard, Colin Cowdrey, and Keith Andrew.
