A Seven Piece Venetian Style Smoked Glass Liqueur Set with Silver Overlay - A seven piece liqueur or spirit set comprising a tall decanter with a matching stopper and six small footed glasses. The set is crafted from hand-blown, smoked olive-green glass. The exterior is decorated with an intricate silver overlay, also known as silver deposit, featuring a central motif of a woman in nineteenth-century dress holding a fan. This central figure is framed by ornate foliate scrollwork, lattice patterns, and floral flourishes. The decanter features a waisted form with a flared rim and a matching glass ball stopper. The six glasses are of a matching footed design. Silver-toned bands finish the rims and bases of all components. This style of glassware is characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Venetian or Murano production. Decanter height: approximately 37 cm.
