A Pair of Studio Stoneware Items signed Lam Vogl - A two-piece studio pottery set consisting of a tall bud vase and a matching shallow tray. The pieces are constructed from a dark-bodied stoneware, visible at the unglazed, coarse-textured bases. The set is finished in a dark brown glaze with a matt-to-satin surface. Each item features an abstract, hand-applied decorative panel composed of poured glazes in cream, pale celadon blue, and ochre, creating a landscape-like effect. The bud vase is of rectangular form with a square mouth. The tray is rectangular with slightly flared sides. The base of the vase is hand-signed in brown slip Lam Vogl and bears an impressed square seal mark containing a stylized character. The base of the tray carries an identical impressed seal mark.
