The square plaque features a deep blue vitreous enamel ground surrounding a central circular medallion in high relief. The medallion depicts St. Christopher carrying the Christ child, encircled by the French inscription Regarde St Christophe . Puis Va T-en Rassure . The central motif is flanked by two stylised thistle plants. The upper section is inscribed Supplied By D. Carlaw & Sons Ltd, with the lower section bearing the address 18 Bothwell Street Glasgow - C. 2. The reverse is stamped with the maker mark for R.E.V.M. Ltd, Twickenham.
