Vintage British Ace Registration Plate NJE 502 - A mid-20th-century British motor vehicle registration plate manufactured by Ace (Cornercroft Ltd), featuring the alphanumeric sequence NJE 502. The plate is constructed with a black-finished metal backing plate and cream-coloured, faceted three-dimensional characters secured with rivets. The NJE prefix denotes a registration from the Cambridge authority, typically dating from between 1953 and 1955. The plate is equipped with four mounting holes, each reinforced with a metal grommet. A small rectangular maker's mark cartouche containing the letters ACE is visible at the bottom centre of both the front and reverse surfaces. 11 1/4 inches (W) x 8 1/2 inches (H).
