British 19th Century Bronze Signal Cannon with Broad Arrow Marking - A nineteenth-century British naval-style signalling cannon featuring a cast bronze barrel mounted on a stepped wooden carriage. The barrel is secured by metal trunnion straps and screws, and the carriage is fitted with four small wooden wheels or trucks. The upper surface of the barrel near the breech displays an incised P proof mark positioned directly above a broad arrow symbol, which traditionally denotes British government or Board of Ordnance property.
