An Iron and Hardwood Primitive Manual Roller - An iron and hardwood manual roller comprising a hand-forged wrought iron frame and a large beveled wooden disc. The iron frame consists of a dual-pronged mount tapering into a single long handle finished with a circular loop for hanging or tethering. The hardwood disc is centrally mounted on a fixed iron axle and features a thickness of approximately 3.8 cm at the centre, tapering towards the outer edges. The wooden surface displays a dark naturally aged patina with visible grain and tool marks. The iron components show a heavily textured, dark oxidised finish consistent with 19th-century utilitarian manufacture. No maker's marks or inscriptions are visible.
